Heat Gun On Yupo Paper
Heat Gun Blown Alcohol Ink.
Heat gun on yupo paper. However this can be prevented if the laser cutting system is capable of controlling temperature and speed. This extraordinary surface also resists tearing and buckling and it remains perfectly flat. If its too hot itll warp the yupo paper.
Now you just need some time to experiment. Yupo paper is a unique alternative to traditional watercolor papers. Once I was more experienced I was able to move onto the medium weight.
Hello Ive only been working with yupo paper and alcohol inks for about 6 months and I recently bought a heat gun which I used for the first time this weekend. If you move the heat gun around you can spread the alcohol ink around the card. I started by adding some alcohol ink to the Yupo.
The current trend for alcohol ink is to use a low power hair dryer or heat gun to gently blow the ink around on yupo or ceramic tiles to create fluid art. Turn the music up and let those inks dance. Get very close to your image and avoid your fingers.
Just move some of the ink around to create those lines and then let the rest dry naturally. MR My advice to a first time Yupo user is if you are using heat like a heat gun I recommend starting with the heavy weight Yupo. Be careful not to position the heat gun too close to the painting as the heat can melt the yupo paper which is made from plastic if the heat gun gets too close.
I found that it was much more forgiving as I learned how to use my heat gun. Love the shaker window and the way you framed it with the die cut. Drop a few drops of ink on the tile add isopropyl alcohol and use the heat gun to move it around.
