How to fill a tumble dryer vent hole. However if you do this because the breeze block isnt to sturdy you need to go slow and careful. From the outside insert the vent cap and pipe assembly through the hole then screw it into place. Hi I am getting an old vented tumble dryer replaced with a condensing one so will be left with a hole in the wall in the kitchen.
Make sure you block off the inside of the external vent or remove it temporarily so it doesnt fill with foam. He basically drilled the hole which took a long time and then put the hose through the wall and sealed it to the vent on the outside. Who doesnt like getting stuff in t.
Obviously Ill need to fill the hole up in the wall that the tube goes out of. You dont want the foam too flush on the inside as it could be a bit bouncy. You may also find you need to connect the pipe leading from the drum into the back of the vent.
Things to consider when installing a tumble dryer vent 1. If you want to run it up the wall then you will need something to hold the pipe in place and have something on top to prevent anything coming down it like birds water leaves etc. Once the vent has been fitted install the pipe from the back of the tumble dryer.
What are the options for dealing with this ie. I then cover the outside with some sort of aluminum plate or plywood. This then gave a decent enough centre to recore the correct size I needed.
Id wedge something like expanded polystyrene into it. We used a single drill bit to create a circular pattern through the log wall and then. I believe the gist of it is that I fill the hole with insulation and put some drywall on the inside.
